Sign the Covenant

Any organisation can choose to sign the Armed Forces Covenant as a demonstration of their support for the Armed Forces community and the principles of the Covenant. It doesn’t matter whether you are in the public, private, voluntary or charity sector – any organisation can sign, regardless of size. We hope that you will join us in signing the Covenant and showing your support!

The pledges that you make will depend upon your organisation, but there are lots of things that you can consider, such as:

  • Reviewing your internal leave arrangements for colleagues who serve in the Reserve forces or who have family members who currently serve
  • Offering guaranteed interview schemes for Veterans
  • Committing to support Armed Forces charities
  • Getting involved with events such as Armed Forces Day, Reserves Day, and Armistice Day
  • Introducing Armed Forces champions or an Armed Forces staff network

We have put together an Armed Forces Covenant Information Sheet to support local businesses with signing the Covenant. If you would like to find out more or have any questions about how to sign, please contact us on Covenant.NCC@westnorthants.gov.uk.

For further information on the Covenant and how to sign, you can also visit the Armed Forces Covenant website. The central Armed Forces Covenant team can be contacted on em-empsp@rfca.mod.uk

A full list of businesses that have signed the Covenant can be found on the national Covenant website.
