Advice, Support and Networking

Your closest Business and IP Centre is a great place to start if you’re looking to set up your own businesses. Working in partnership with Northamptonshire Libraries, the service runs workshops, webinars and information and advice sessions. Advice sessions are available to book at Brixworth, Northampton Central and Towcester Libraries in West Northamptonshire, and Wellingborough and Kettering Libraries in North Northamptonshire. The University of Northampton’s Business Support team also provide a gateway to business support services available throughout the county. If you are an existing business owner or seeking support to develop a new business, you can email them on business_support@northampton.ac.uk.

West Northants Council and partners now offer employment support drop-in sessions at Towcester Library on the second Wednesday of the month from 1pm-3pm. No booking is required and you will be able to get support with writing a CV, job searching and training.

Veteran Owned support businesses who are owned by serving members of the Armed Forces, Veterans, or spouses.

The Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce organise several networking events throughout the year for local businesses. Becoming a member of the Chamber provides a number of marketing, training, and networking opportunities.

Eventbrite is a good place to look for upcoming network opportunities in your local area.
